SENIOR CENTERS & SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES
In March, 2023 I was asked by a client in Needham to spend a few hours at their local Senior Center (The Center at the Heights). We planned the day for the middle of May, and they promoted it to their members thru social media and their newsletter. Everyone signed up for 10-minute time slots, which worked perfectly, and they all brought the media they wanted digitized (Videotapes, Photos, Slides, Audiocassettes) as well as 8mm & 16mm movie reels and damaged photos in need of Photo Restoration. I collected everything from them at their appointment and had everything finished and ready for delivery a week later. Everyone was thrilled at how easy and seamless the process was. WHO AM I?
I’m Mark Swirsky and I’ve been snapping photos since I was just five years old, began working in my own darkroom by the time I was seven, and had my own “One Man Show Exhibit” at age 14 at the Berkshire Museum, all in the Berkshires where my family has lived for 3 generations. I recently closed my family’s shop at the end of 2019 - 70 years after my father opened it - and now work from my home. I moved to Needham recently where I offer pickup and delivery, and continue doing business in the Berkshires (usually one-day shipping) as well as nationally (also a quick ship).
WHAT DO I DO?
My specialty is preserving all of your special moments and memories. I convert 8mm & 16mm Movie Film Reels, Videotapes of all formats, and Photos & Slides to a digital format - either DVD or USB Thumb Drive. I also do Photo Restoration - I scan your faded, cracked, discolored or torn photographs, and then restore a digitized version of your damaged photos back to new, and sometimes even better than new.
